Our school is currently following DFE and Public Health England guidance regarding Covid-19. If you have any questions regarding absences related to Covid-19 please contact school. The school is currently adhering to government guidance by having staggered start and finish times across year groups.
At Byron Court Primary School, we are very keen to ensure that all children attend school regularly. As you know, regular attendance is important for your child’s friendships and academic progress. In addition, it is proven that good attendance is linked with academic success.
Attendance Percentages on Reports
The following grades are used on reports to show your child’s attendance.
The Government expectation is that all children should be in school at least 96% of the time and so this is classed as satisfactory.
Any child with attendance of 90% or less is classed as a persistent absentee and parent’s should contact the school if there is a medical issue we should be aware of or take steps to get their child to school more regularly.
If you have any concerns about your child's attendance or you would like to talk to someone, generally, about attendance, please contact the school office on 0208 904 2785 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We are more than happy to provide support and advice.
