A Message from the Headteacher: Mrs Martine Clark
We are an ‘outstanding’ (Ofsted 2012) inclusive primary school with 630 pupils aged four to eleven. Unfortunately, we do not have a Nursery as yet. Byron Court was built in 1932. It is a charming Arts and Crafts school, located in a leafy Wembley suburb. The school has undergone extensive refurbishment to provide pupils and staff with a 21st century learning environment nestled in a cloak of tradition and character.
Byron Court has excellent teaching and learning through an enriched curriculum and pupils are given many opportunities within and out of school to achieve their full potential. The Key Stage 1 and 2 results are outstanding and Byron Court is one of the best performing schools in the borough. We also have a wealth of talent in Sport, Music and the Arts. Byron Court pupils are proud of their school, they are well presented, polite, kind and hard working and uphold the school motto ‘Believe it. Achieve it’.
Byron Court also has very supportive families, who contribute actively through the parents association; Byron Court School Association (BCSA). Many events are held throughout the year in order to secure a positive partnership with our families and local community. The governors also work effectively with the school to ensure the best possible provision and outcomes for its pupils.
Byron Court thrives on its diverse community with a rich variety of home languages, cultures, faiths and traditions. We want our pupils to be global citizens, able to succeed and build a fulfilling life in a sustainable and increasingly international society. The school has links with schools in Europe through the British Council’s ‘Comenius Project’: we are currently working with schools in Iceland, Latvia, Greece, Spain, Denmark and Ireland.
We have a strong set of values at Byron Court. We aim to:-
