School to School Support
Byron Court School strongly believes in ‘school to school support’ to achieve and sustain excellence in teaching and learning. As such Byron Court has a leadership structure that has the capacity to promote professional development within and outside the school. We have been working with the Institute of Education for the past three years delivering the NCTLs National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and the National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML). These have had significant impact on individual leaders and their schools, improving performance and raising standards of teaching and learning.
Additionally, members of the Leadership Team have worked alongside colleagues in other Brent schools. We currently deliver bespoke professional consultancy and seminar sessions in Teaching and Learning, Early Years, Assessment and Leadership. Some schools that have participated in this joint practice development have been: Avigdor Hirsch Torah Temimah Primary School, Kilburn Park Primary, Harlesden, Fryent, Uxendon, Malorees Juniors, Mitchell Brook Primary and Oliver Goldsmith.
